Red Dead Redemption Remaster To Be Announced Tomorrow – Rumor

According to online rumors, a remaster of Rockstar Games’ open world western title Red Dead Redemption is to be announced.

It appears that the Korean gaming outlet suspects that a Red Dead Redemption remasters may be revealed at Sony’s PlayStation meeting this Wednesday, September 7. Additionally, the report stated that after is announcement, the updated versions of the game for this generation of platforms would launch during the first half of 2017.

GameFocus continued and added that the Korean version of the Red Dead Redemption remasters will also be fully localized in Korean. What’s strange is that the original releases for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 were not, resulting in a copies of the game including the title’s full script in Korean so that fans in the country could read along with the story as it appeared on-screen.

Although the potential release of Red Dead Redemption on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One would be great for those who didn’t get the chance to play what seems to be considered one of the top games of the last console generation, it would certainly be odd for this specific rumor to be true. After all, only two months have passed since Rockstar Games’ decision to revive the title for the current era by making it available on Xbox One via backward compatibility. With that said, the studio will probably think twice about releasing the game on Microsoft’s latest console until an actual remastered version is finished.

Besides, it would be even more strange if Sony uses Red Dead Redemption instead of a newer intellectual property to demonstrate the might of its mid-cycle system, the PlayStation 4 Neo, which many considered to be the focus of the above-mentioned Sony meeting this week. If anything, the tech team would probably team up with Rockstar Games to use the conference as a means to not only announce the enhanced console, but also reveal the existence of a long rumored follow up on the hardware and declare a potential release date for the western game’s sequel.
