The General Manager of BioWare, Aaron Flynn, has confirmed the official release date for its upcoming science fiction video game Mass Effect: Andromeda.
BioWare’s General Manager Aaron Flynn made the announcement via a blog post on the official Mass Effect: Andromeda website, explaining that the excitement he and the studio as a whole share for soon being able to have the chance to release the game to the franchise’s fan base. Additionally, Flynn mentioned how the BioWare developers took home a version of the game over the holidays called the “holiday build,” which carries on a studio tradition since the early stages of the Mass Effect series’ creation.
Members of the studio played what has been completed so far, with some who played key roles on the original trilogy giving the project their support.
With BioWare having officially confirmed the specific time for the launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda, rampant speculation about the game’s availability can thankfully be laid to rest. As it seems, only yesterday, a listing from Microsoft’s Xbox Live Rewards website showed the game’s release date as being March 31, which caused plenty of rumors about how far along Andromeda is in development, leading to loads of conjecture about Andromeda’s potential to be ready by then.
Since the release date of Mass Effect: Andromeda is not too far from now, BioWare will definitely need to follow through on some recent promises it has made to fans in regards to specific flaws that are currently present in the game. For example, BioWare’s GM Aaron Flynn pledged there would be facial performance improvements for the title’s characters before its release, so it’s probably best for the studio to show off fresh gameplay video in the next few days that highlights the refinements made.
On the subject of new footage, BioWare has already assured fans that more gameplay videos will follow, so it could be that the studio will make sure the clip focuses on either of Mass Effect: Andromeda’s sibling protagonists Scott and Sara Ryder to show that the team is really listening to fans and making the project better.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is scheduled to release on March 21, 2017 in North America, and on March 23, 2017 in Europe for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
