Bethesda Softworks officially released Update 1.7 for its post-apocalyptic RPG, Fallout 4, on the title’s PC and Xbox One platforms.
Before the launch of Fallout 4’s Nuka World DLC on August 30, Bethesda has decided to simply release a brand new Update 1.7 patch that’s adding support for the upcoming expansion, including a new art type for stores in the action RPG’s Workshop settlements.
Update 1.7 is now available for PC and Xbox One players to download, although PlayStation 4 fans are going to get it sometime next week, with Fallout 4 fans being able to delete add-ons without doing a full uninstall. As one would expect, Update 1.7 also brings lots of fixes for the post-apocalyptic title, like one constant problem that involves some dog armor for Dogmeat not properly equipping on the German Shepherd companion. Additionally, the patch also fixes a bug that made companions to un-equip clothing after having fast-traveled with the Sole Survivor.
Furthermore, PC and Xbox One mods program for Fallout 4 are getting fixes as well. Of course, these are only made for the aforementioned platformes, because Bethesda is still hard at work to get the game’s mod support fully functional on PS4. One of the updates is for an issue that makes players who run the title with mods to turn completely invisible when sneaking. Besides that, there are also minor UI improvements for the mods detail menus, including the mods themselves. Fans can check Update 1.7’s full patch notes here.
Taking into consideration that Bethesda has already implemented a patch to provide support for Fallout 4’s Nuka World, it should indicate to fans that the wait for the expansion to arrive is almost over. After having been declared as the last DLC for the action-RPG, large number of would-be Wastelanders will most likely scoop it up without thinking in order to officially own and finish all of the post-launch content there is to offer.
Fallout 4 is currently out and is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
