Bungie revealed its plans for the return of the Iron Banner event in Destiny, as well as its start time and what rewards players can earn for participating.
Two weeks into the Age of Triumph update for Destiny, and fans have not yet seen the return of the popular Iron Banner event, which lets players take on each other in the Crucible with level advantages enabled. Fortunately for Iron Banner enthusiasts, the event is set to make a comeback next weeke and will run for seven days. Fans of Destiny can jump right into the Iron Banner event starting 11th of April, Tuesday at 10am Pacific time, with the event ending on April 18th at 2am Pacific. The match type will be Control, where Guardians fight each other over control points on the map.
During these Control matches, players will receive typical Crucible rewards for competing in the Iron Banner event next week, along with the chance to collect some new weapons and armor. During the Iron Banner event, each class has a chance to earn class-specific armor, as well as auto rifles and shotguns. Furthermore, players can collect bounties from Efrideet before joining the fray to add even more to their winnings. Since there is still four days to go until the Iron Banner event goes live, Destiny fans have plenty of time to get ready for the upcoming battles.
It seems as though Destiny fans have a lot of reasons to participate in the Iron Banner event when it finally returns to the game next week. However, players will want to make sure that they’re equipped properly before joining the fray. The Age of Triumph event has resurrected old raids and introduced some new loot to the game, which means some players could be particularly deadly if they have made the effort to collect any powerful new armor or weapons.
Destiny is currently available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
