Ebb Software Releases New Teaser Trailer for Horror Game Scorn

Ebb Software studio has released a disturbing teaser trailer for the upcoming atmospheric horror game Scorn, which is supposed to launch sometime in 2017 for PC.

With last year’s death of Silent Hills, and the unexpected cancellation of Allison Road last month, fans of the horror game genre have had to deal with a lot of heartbreak lately. Even so, with all those painfull cancellations, it looks like other new promising horror games emerge, such as Scorn from Ebb software that recently revealed a teaser trailer that confirms it’s still in development after its Kickstarter has failed.

Scorn is a horror adventure first-person game which puts players in a semi-open world, composed of interconnected, themed regions. Main key part in the game will be exploration, and in classic survival horror style, players are also going to be tasked with managing their inventory and ammo supply. The limited ammo supply will indicate that players won’t have to deal with every threat directly, and may have to hide sometimes from the hideous monsters found throughout Scorn.

No combat is shown on the teaser trailer so far, but we have a glimpse of what appears to be the player character reloading a pistol, then aiming it at an enemy. The player character aims the gun at the creature in the classic Doom-style aiming mode, but before pulling the trigger, the creature screams in pain and dies.

Weapons, enemies and the environment itself are all sharing the same aesthetic. Everything has a fleshy aspect to it, with the floors and walls breathing as players adventure through the game world. This lively game world will control a number of hazards that will threaten players that aren’t quick on their toes, and its origin should be focusing on the game’s story.

Scorn will arrive in 2017 for PC.
