Blades of Time is an upcoming hack-and-slash action-adventure game that is being developed by Gaijin Entertainment and will be published by Konami for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is a spiritual successor to Gaijin Entertainment’s past work, X-Blades.Blades of Time is going to be released in North America on March 6 and in Japan on March 8, 2012.

This is a continuation of X-Blades, a classical Japanese hack-and-slash game. The game follows the adventures of protagonist Ayumi, a girl armed with a fierce combination of cold and fire arms, which on the “exotic and dangerous” island seeking a hidden treasure. Ayumi will have over 40 different sets of mele skill and tactics, but also a set of magical powers. With a classic singleplayer, the game comes with support for cooperative and competitive multiplayer.
