Murdered: Soul Suspect This uber cool game, so much stand out of the everyday ordinary games and themes in them. This game is a purely unique idea, never seen before and the story, so mixed up, as you will find at the end, makes it even more adorable. It is about a detective named Ronan O’Connor and one mysterious killer called ‘The Bell Killer’ because of his symbol that he uses upon his victims. This game takes place in a fictionalized version of the American town, Salem and the story begins with Ronan being thrown from a window of a house and shot to death by The Bell Killer, while he was tracking him down. Ronan returns as a ghost and he is contacted by his deceased wife, Julia who tells him that he must find who is The Bell Killer so that he can join her in the afterlife. On his mission, he is reached out and helped by Abigail, ghost of a Puritan child and he goes to the fight scene where he finds that his last minutes were witnessed by a girl named Joy, who is now hiding in a church and is a medium. Joy is in search of her missing mother and after he helps her to escape from prison where she was put after the police found her in the church, she starts helping Ronan in order to find the killer and to find info about her mother. Her mother Cassandra, was working also on a Bell Killer case, murder of a young girl named Sophia and then the clues lead them to psychiatric hospital where they find survivor of The Bell Killer, a girl named Iris who possesses the same ability as Joy to see ghosts and they realise that The Bell Killer is killing psychic mediums. Iris is also possessed by her dead sister, Rose who was burned alive by The Bell Killer after she manages to free Iris. Then Rose, Iris and Joy return to the church and Ronan is at the Salem witch hunt museum exhibit. There he reveals that The Bell Killer is killing his victims as if they were witches and that his colleague, officer Baxter who was working with Cassandra, might be The Bell Killer. Upon his return to the church he finds that Iris is being killed by The Bell Killer and although Joy is fine, she is being re-arrested by Ronan’s brother-in-law Rex, lead detective on The Bell Killer case. His newest clues lead him to The Judgment House, where he finds evidence that the killings have been occurring for hundreds of years. Then he discovers Baxter’s corpse. Baxter’s ghost reveals he was murdered by the Bell Killer and he also clarifies that Cassandra is still alive. In the basement, flashbacks reveal that Abigail had been imprisoned there before she was hanged. Her execution came as punishment for accusing several innocent people of witchcraft, resulting in their deaths. In anger, Abigail drew a bell symbol on the floor, swearing that she will never stop until the bell tolls for all of the witches in Salem (Abigail Williams, real historic person from the Puritan family, born in July 12, 1680 and executed, for false accusations of witchcraft that lead to death of many innocent people, in October 1697 at her only 17 years). Following the evidence, Ronan returns to the museum to discover that Rex is the Bell Killer, having been possessed by Abigail. As he prepares to hang Joy, Ronan manages to force Abigail’s spirit out of Rex, and the pair battle by inflicting painful memories on each other. These memories reveal that Abigail has possessed many people to carry out the Bell Killer murders before killing the possessed themselves. Among the possessed are Baxter, who she used to kill Rose, and Ronan, who killed Sophia as well as Rex who killed Ronan and Baxter while being possessed by Abigail. Abigail summons a portal of demons to swallow Ronan. He escapes its pull and forces Abigail in. She submerges and the portal fades. Joy is saved and later reunites with her mother. Rex remains unaware of the crimes committed using his body. In the aftermath, Ronan hears Julia calling him and turns toward her voice.
