Payday 2 is a cooperative first-person shooter video game in development by Overkill Software. It is the sequel to Payday: The Heist and is scheduled for release in 2013. It involves the player and their team performing bank heists and robberies. Gameplay is heavily improved and expanded since it’s prequel, with a number of new abilities. The game was first announced in February 2013 and later previewed in March of that year, alongside an announcement of the developer’s parent company: Starbreeze Studios’s partnership with 505 Games. It is set to be released in Summer 2013 on Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation 3 via Playstation Network and Microsoft Windows via Steam.
