Bandai Namco Entertainment America officially released a brand new gameplay trailer for action-RPG Dark Souls 3’s upcoming expansion pack, The Ringed City.
Courtesy of Bandai Namco Entertainment America’s YouTube page, the trailer below shows that players should expect The Ringed City DLC to introduce new areas, weapons, enemies, items, abilities, and much more. For example, the footage shows off a couple of various locations encounters to be added in the upcoming Dark Souls 3 expansion, including an experience with a flying, ethereal creature with the power to shoot lasers, a boss battle between a huge flame beast with wings, as well as a long exploration sequence after dropping into the side of a building in a city straight out of M.C. Escher’s dreams.
Besides, the new Dark Souls 3 trailer for its Ringed City DLC features a look at some new dark plum-colored ghost baddies that are able to change size and drag Ashen Ones into the underworld with them. What’s interesting is that there’s even another variation of this specific monster, as there’s also a type that can shoot flames from a shield and set its weapon on fire during combat.
Those who are interested in Dark Souls 3’s Ringed City DLC will be able to get it on all platforms starting on March 28. Fans of the action-RPG title have one of two ways to buy the expansion, as it costs $15 as a standalone, or it can be gotten through the game’s $25 season pass, which not only has the Ringed City, but also gives players Dark Souls 3’s first expansion, Ashes of Ariandel.
Along with the fresh trailer for Dark Souls 3’s Ringed City DLC, fans of the game will also receive a patch for the game today with Update 1.10, which is supposed to fix bugs and glitches, including one rather bothersome issue that allows players to invaded during boss fights. While Update 1.10 definitely looks to add some helpful tweaks, it’s safe to assume that Dark Souls 3 fans would rather today’s update for a chance to play The Ringed City DLC before it launches next month.
Dark Souls 3 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
