Ubisoft has released a teaser video and an official profile for the first Spanish operator in Rainbow Six Siege’s Velvet Shell content, which arrives this February.
Today, Ubisoft has released the official profile for the first Spanish operator, Ryad Ramirez Al-Hassar, who will be known as Jackal. Expected to be a assigned as an Attacker, Jackal will be equipped with the C7E and PDW9 as his main weapons, and the ITA 12S and USP 40 as his secondaries.
Even though Ubisoft stated that the special ability of the operator won’t be revealed until Siege’s Six Invitational event next weekend, the video below doesn’t leave much for the imagination. In the short teaser video, Jackal activates a special visual headset which lets him see footprints left behind by the opposing team. Whether this ability will work like Caveira’s silent walk, which had a timed cooldown, is still unknown, but it certainly gives the defending team something to watch out for when they choose to roam.
According to the official backstory of Jackal, he was seventeen years old when he and his brother were attacked in a presumed case of street violence. After barely surviving the event – and with his brother dead – Ryad has sworn that he will uncover the secret behind his brother’s death, and enrolled in the Cuerpo Nacional de Policia when he came of age. He later joined the Grupo Especial de Operaciones, a unit supposedly featured by the Spanish operators.
Gamers who are interested in getting early access to any of the upcoming operators can pick up the Year 2 Season Pass right now, which gives season pass holders a week of early access to each operator duo as they come out. Also included in the deal will be a selection of cosmetic battle dress uniforms and headgear, and a few other bonuses like a 10% store discount and bonus challenges. Those who purchase the season’s pass before February 7 will also receive an exclusive black obsidian universal weapon skin.
The Velvet Shell content update is scheduled to release in early February, with an official release date to arrive either during or after Siege’s Six Invitational, which takes place from February 3-5. In any case, fans will be able to take a loot at both Ryad “Jackal” Ramirez Al-Hassar and Elena “Mira” Alvarez Del Manzan during the event.
Rainbow Six Siege is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
