The launch date for the PC and Xbox One versions of the last Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC, Salvation, hints to it being available later this week.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops III Salvation expansion hits PC and Xbox One on Thursday, October 6th. Season pass owners will be able to get the DLC automatically, but it can be purchased separately for $14.99 as well.
Black Ops III enthusiasts might want to consider buying the expansion, as it adds significant content to the game.
Similar to earlier Black Ops III expansions, Salvation will introduce four new multiplayer maps to the Black Ops III multiplayer component. This includes two brand new maps, Citadel and Micro, along with two remakes. The Outlaw map is a remake of Standoff from Black Ops II, while Rupture is a fresh version of Outskirts from Call of Duty: World at War.
Aside from multiplayer maps, Salvation is also going to expand the Black Ops III Zombies mode, introducing a new map called Revelations. Revelations has couple of new areas for players to explore, but its most noticeable feature is how it’s mixing locations from previous Zombies maps. Fans who were following the complicated Zombies plot since its beginning in World at War will want to get ready for yet another extravagant Zombies Easter Egg if they hope on overcoming the different locales of Revelations and seeing how the story ends.
From Revelations to the four new multiplayer maps, it’s obvious that the Salvation DLC adds considerable amount of content to the Call of Duty: Black Ops III experience. However, those who weren’t impressed by the core Black Ops II experience will find little reason to come back for Salvation. It is pretty much the same, but for Call of Duty enthusiasts, that appears to be exactly what they’re looking for.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is currently available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The Salvation DLC will hit PC and Xbox One on October 6th.
