Resident Evil 7 Demo Getting ‘Twilight Version’ Update

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 7’s Beginning Hour demo will receive a ‘Twilight Version’ update, allowing players to explore more of the game’s scary mansion.

The exact time as to when the Twilight Version update will be available for the Resident Evil VII demo is still unknown. There’s also no info on what Capcom is adding to the demo in the update, except that it will probably allow players to explore more of the mansion, and it will be available to download for all PlayStation 4 owners.

PS4 users should keep their fingers crossed that the Twilight Version update gives some answers to the original demo’s unfinished mysteries. Players are still not familiar as to what the dummy finger does, for instance, it’s also unclear if there’s any point to get the axe besides smashing boxes in the attic. Fans were angry when they saw that these items were going to be included in the demo for no reason, so hopefully the Twilight Version update will offer some closure for those that spent hours trying to figure out their purpose.

Besides bringing past Resident Evil VII demo mysteries to an end, the Twilight Version update might give players a look at more of the game’s mechanics. Since the trailer of Resident Evil VII at TGS 2016 showed the game’s combat for the first time, perhaps players of the demo update will be able to collect a pistol or shotgun to guard themselves against the seemingly invincible patriarch of the Baker family.

If fans want to learn more about the Baker family, the TGS 2016 trailer shows a closer look at Marguerite Baker and one of the two new Baker family members. The Twilight Version update could also introduce new enemies to the mix as well, such as the zombie-like enemies that Capcom has teased are in the game.
