The Pokemon Company released a new trailer for Pokemon Sun and Moon that features the new Pokemon Crabrawler, Sandygast, Pallosand, and Stufful and their abilities.
Few days ago, The Pokemon Company introduced Turtonator to the gaming world, a majestic fire/dragon type Pokemon that’s going to make its debut in the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon. The Pokemon Company made an announcement today that four additional Pokemon will be debuting alongside Turtonator this fall, and all of them are highlighted in a brand new trailer.
The first new Pokemon that appears in the latest trailer for Pokemon Sun and Moon somehow managed to avoid being leaked beforehand. It’s named Crabrawler, and it is a fighting type crab Pokemon with claws that look like boxing gloves. Some may be wondering why a Pokemon based on a crab is a fighting type instead of water type, but it appears that Crawbrawler is based on the coconut crab, which is known for its inability to swim.
Three Pokemon that got leaked earlier are also confirmed in the Pokemon Sun and Moon trailer. Those Pokemon include a couple that look like sandcastles: Sandygast, the ghost/ground type and its evolved form, Palossand. To some, a Pokemon based on sandcastle may sound like a ridiculous idea, but Sandygast and Palossand could turn out to be quite useful against water type Pokemon thanks to their Water Compaction ability.
In addition to Sandygast and Palossand, another leaked Pokemon gets confirmed in the latest trailer as well. In the trailer, players are given a better look at Stufful, a funny-looking bear Pokemon that at some point evolves into Bewear. Complete with a tail that looks just like a tag, Stufful almost resembles a stuffed animal.
By revealing Crabrawler and officially announcing Sandygast, Palossand, and Stufful, the number of new Pokemon debuting in Pokemon Sun and Moon has climbed up to 39. That number doesn’t even include the Alolan forms of Gen 1 Pokemon that trainers will also be able to catch in the games, so during their adventure in the Alola region, players should have plenty of unique creatures to capture.
Pokemon Sun and Moon arrives on November 18th, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.
