Capcom has released a new trailer for Dead Rising 4 that highlights the game’s brutal combo weapons and some of Frank West’s crazy weapons.
As far as costumes go, Frank will have lots to choose from in the rebuilt Willamatte Mall. Only few of the costumes that Frank can use in the game are shown in the trailer, such as a blue dinosaur outfit, a Santa Claus suit, a professional wrestler, a cowboy, and more. Part of these costumes will have other benefits besides looking funny, though. For instance, there’s a triceratops mask that spews fire from its mouth, which should come in handy for anyone looking to barbecue some zombies.
Some of the combo weapons and vehicles Frank can utilize in his zombie killing sprees are also highlighted in the trailer. By the looks of it, Frank will have the ability to mix severed zombie flesh with a bomb to make a devastating explosive gadget, and he can also combine some type of freezing device with a sword to create a lethal ice sword. Naturally, there will be much more weapon combinations in the finished version of the game.
Frank West will also be able to mix and match vehicles, unlike the protagonist from Dead Rising 3. The vehicle combinations from Frank feature a car with large machineguns attached to its sides, along with a hilarious combination of tricycle, few blades, and flamethrowers. Frank is not really a mechanic though, so don’t expect vehicles to be the main focus in Dead Rising 4 as they were in previous games.
Although Frank West lacks mechanic skills, he does have access to a ridiculously powerful Exo Suit, which is shown in the new trailer. As seen in the trailer, Frank has the ability to customize the Exo Suit to a certain extent, mounting machineguns on his shoulders and dual-wielding a weapon that shoots saw blades.
Dead Rising 4 is scheduled to release on December 6, 2016 for PC and Xbox One.
