Mortal Kombat XL Might Come to PC After All

After couple of hints and teases over the past week, it seems that the previously console exclusive Mortal Kombat XL may be finally headed to PC players as well.

Although proving to be a huge success on consoles, it appears that Mortal Kombat X never really discovered its footing on PC thanks to various issues that hurt the overall experience for players.

PC fans got even more disappointed when a definitive version of the game, known as Mortal Kombat XL, was announced exclusively for consoles, which also included the recently revealed Kombat Pack 2. After many months of silence, though, it looks like PC players may finally see XL on their platform of choice.

NetherRealm’s creative director Ed Boon has shared the biggest clue. Even though the man is recognized for trolling fans, Boon has recently posted an interesting picture of a PC motherboard and a strange message to go with it. While the phrase, “Maybe we should Karry eXtra Long People who Care?,” isn’t making too much sense by itself, picking out the capital letters leaves behind MKXL PC. This could be a strong hint that the previously exclusive Mortal Kombat XL content may come on PC sometime in the future.

Furthermore, a poll followed the tweet that asked fans if they even still wanted to see the XL version arrive on PC. Naturally, fans responded favorably to the question, signifying that interest is still there.

What took Mortal Kombat XL so long to make the jump to PC is unknown at this point, maybe the extra time was needed to ensure a smooth launch this time around. When Mortal Kombat XL first launched, the PC version suffered from various issues such as crashing, online connectivity problems, and a nasty bug that actually deleted player save data.

Mortal Kombat XL is currently available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
