Developer BioWare confirmed that it’s planning to host a multiplayer beta for Mass Effect: Andromeda, and fans can sign up for it now.
Of course, today’s cinematic trailer reveal of Mass Effect: Andromeda surely excited lots of sci-fi franchise’s myriad fans, but it certainly wasn’t the only interesting piece of information regarding the forthcoming game to come out of BioWare’s N7 Day celebration. Alongside the trailer, new story details have surfaced, and the developer’s creative director for the release, Mac Walters, stated that the sequel will bring back one of the series’ most popular features with loyalty missions making a comeback.
Although all of the abovementioned details are definitely invigorating, it’s quite possible that fans will be most enthusiastic for the confirmation from BioWare that Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to have a multiplayer beta. In addition, fans can head over to the studio’s website and sign up for the trial right now.
As seen in the tweet below from Mass Effect: Andromeda producer Fabrice Candominas, fans can register for the game’s multiplayer beta now in order to help BioWare refine the title as much as possible before it launches. However, it’s worth noting that the trial is exclusively available to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players – PC and Nintendo Switch owners are being left out, it seems – and fans are asked to fill out a rather lengthy survey.
What’s more, in order to sign up for Mass Effect: Andromeda’s multiplayer beta, one needs to have an EA account that’s linked to an Origin, PlayStation Network, or Xbox Live account. After that, fans have to answer questions about their gaming experience, spoken languages, and favorite games. Upon reaching the end of the survey, those registering will have to check a white box next to the words “Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer Tech Test” which takes fans to a final set of questions before the application can be submitted.
