    Knack 2 Announced

During the PlayStation Experience, Shuhei Yoshida of Sony announced that Knack 2 will arrive on the PlayStation 4 platform, giving a first look at the title with a short trailer.

The first look at Knack also revealed that the game might have a few vehicular segments available for co-op players, although there’s not much info on what each player will be respectively controlling. Just like in the first game, every environment will contain highly destructible objects, baddies of all sizes, and large number of nature-oriented locations. It seems that some of the main cast will be returning, although right now nothing is known about the plot for Knack 2.

The first part did a great job of showing off PlayStation 4’s ability to render plenty of various destructible objects on screen at once, and it’s certain that Knack 2 will have the rendering prowess of the PS4 Pro in mind. Thus far, Sony didn’t have anything to comment on whether Knack 2 will be optimized for the PS4 Pro, but there aren’t many good opportunities to show off 4K resolution than a game which focuses on blowing things up into tiny chunks.

Knack’s sequel is far from the only announcement that Sony has prepared for the PlayStation Experience: the company has also confirmed a brand new standalone Uncharted experience, a Resident Evil demo that is currently available, a free game called Let It Die (which appears to be much different than the live-action trailer from 2014), The Last Of Us: Part 2, and great many games for PlayStation’s catalog.

Since the announcement trailer of Knack 2 only showed a short glimpse at gameplay, it’s expected that Japan Studio will be releasing some additional information about the title sometime soon. A promise was made that the game would satisfy both casual and hardcore gamers, but only time will tell if Knack 2 can find – and succeed in – that desired middle ground.

There is no release date available for Knack 2, but will probably be coming sometime in 2017 as a PS4 exclusive.
