Final Fantasy 15 Update Lets You Take Your Own Photos

Square Enix has revealed new details about the upcoming update for its RPG Final Fantasy 15, which adds a feature that will allow players to take their own photos in the game.

As reported earlier on Square Enix’s Japanese website (via Gematsu), the Final Fantasy 15 publisher and developer went over some of the contents for the upcoming update, which is supposed to go live next Tuesday, January 24, and it will bring what is described as a “self-photographing feature.” In the contents’ outlining, Square Enix specifies that players will only be able to use the feature outside of battle, so the auto-snapshot style of Prompto will be in charge of any pictures taken throughout combat.

The photo feature won’t be the only thing that’s going to be added in Final Fantasy 15 through the game’s next update, as Square Enix also will include additions to the free and paid holiday DLC packs. More specifically, the Moogle Chocobo Carnival will begin in the next update,it will also give a new costume called the “Choco-Mog Tee” that can only be used by Noctis, it will add a photo frame, and more.

Apart from the impending availability of a photo-taking feature, the developers of Final Fantasy 15 have far more in mind for the game’s future, with large amount of DLC and updates planned. In fact, the game’s director, Hajime Tabata, has stated that 2017 is going to be the year “of giving back to everyone for their kindness” for supporting the continued success of Final Fantasy 15.

While on the subject of Final Fantasy 15’s triumphs, the game quickly became the fastest-selling entry in the series not long after its launch last year. As it stands, Square Enix has reported that the title’s prosperity continues to grow, as Final Fantasy 15 has moved 6 million copies since its release in November 2016.

Final Fantasy 15 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
