New gameplay footage of the upcoming Dead Rising 4 emerges and it details the game’s enemy types, including a maniacal pirate, mascot, and Santa Claus.
Dead Rising 4 will release in less than a month, but fans have a lot of questions about the game. One question fans had on their minds is if the psycho boss fights from the previous games will return in Dead Rising 4. That question has now been answered, and it seems as though the psychopath boss fights will return, with a different label and now they will be optional encounters.
Bosses in Dead Rising 4 will now be called Maniacs instead of psychopaths. In order to find Maniacs, players will have to discover clues and complete specific objectives, but once they do that, they will rush into a boss fight against the lunatic survivors. Gameplay footage of Dead Rising 4 shows Maniacs in action, and it looks like players can expect fighting these evil Maniacs, a Santa Claus who wields an axe, a pirate, a knight with a flaming sword, and more.
Players, besides the Maniacs, will have to contend with hundreds of zombies roaming the streets of Wilamette, Colorado. Players will have to fight the typical zombies who are in search for brains, and some special types that were highlighted in the new gameplay footage along with the Maniacs. For example, players will have to fight zombies that are recently turned and pose a much greater threat. These zombies are way faster, stronger, more aggressive than most of the other zombies, and all this is because the zombies are freshly turned.
Another type of zombies is the Evos, these zombies have vicious melee attacks, and can buff other living dead with special shout. Now if that wasn’t bad enough, the Evos can also summon other zombies just like that, which will be a pain in the neck to deal with, even for players who have played through the original games.
Along with the new zombies, the returning Frank West will have to fight armed scavengers and soldiers. The conclusion is that the developers are preparing a nice variety of enemy types, which should keep the action exciting and challenging from start to finish.
