CyberPunk 2077
This is another upcoming game developed by CD Projekt RED and published by CD Projekt and is also directed by Mateusz Kanik.
This one uses another game engine which is REDengine 4 developed by CD Projekt RED. It will available for several platforms such
as Microsoft, PS4 and Xbox One and will feature both single-player and multi-player modes. It also will be playable in both first-person
and third-person. For this game to see the light of the day, the Polish government granted CD Projekt RED with 7 million US dollars
through its funding application. However, the game won’t be released before 2019 as the data regarding to the early designs had been
stolen and there is a threat of their releasement to the public. Despite this, the developer refused to comply with the ransom demand.
Apart from this, CyberPunk 2077 is a role-playing video game that takes place in an open world metropolis, a city called Night City.
It will feature non-English speaking characters and you as the player will have to buy translator implants to better comprehend them
and depending on the advancement of the implants, the quality of translations will vary, with more expensive implants rendering more
accurate translations. There also will be something called “Braindance” which is a digital recording device streamed directly into the
brain, that allows you to experience the emotions, brain processes and muscle movements of another person as though they were your own.
This game through its making will be developed with the help of Mike Pondsmith, who created the original tabletop game
Cyberpunk 2020 and who is actually consulting on the project and Marcin Przybyłowicz was chosen to compose its program music.
Knowing that CyberPunk 2077 was firstly announced back in 2012 and will certainly take more than 7 years to make, we certainly expect
a big good one after that lot of waiting, hoping that the CD Projekt RED team won’t be having any further problems such as the one with
the stealing of the data, that might delay or even cancel its releasement.
