BioShock: The Collection Trailer Shows Off Infinite’s Improved Look

BioShock: The Collection is just few days away from being launched and the latest trailer takes players back to a stunning remastered version of Infinite’s Columbia.

BioShock: The Collection was only a rumor for many months, but now that the game’s release is just around the corner, the gameplay videos and trailers are showing up more frequently. This week starts off with a short glimpse at the upgraded version of the newest installment in the franchise, BioShock Infinite.

Although both BioShock and BioShock 2 are getting remastered for PS4, Xbox One, and PC; the last game in the trilogy will receive the remastered treatment for consoles only. PC users are still going to get Infinite in the Collection bundle, but it will be the exact port that has been available since launch.

Even though PC gamers might feel a little left out, 2K Games still needs to show off what the team was able to throw onto Infinite in the three years since the game originally launched on consoles. The latest trailer is focusing on the scenery and shows off the floating city of Columbia, coupled with a memorable dialogue from the game.

The length of the video is not even close to that of last week, but it is highlighting the amazing updates to the game’s environment. It’s easy to forget how far graphics have come during the first few years of the PS4/Xbox One console generation, but looking at the old and new Columbia side-by-side reveals some impressive leaps.

The collection which arrives soon is going to be filled with content; including the three full games and all single player DLC. Although a lot of gamers are getting tired of remasters and remakes after the last two years, it’s still difficult to pass up a chance to go back to a series that helped define the previous console generation.

BioShock: The Collection is scheduled to release on September 13, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
