BioShock: The Collection PC Specifications Released

2K Games revealed the minimum and required PC specs it will take to run and play their upcoming first person shooter BioShock: The Collection.

BioShock: The Collection’s release date will come in about a week, so a lot of PC fans of the apocalyptic titles must be wondering if their rigs will be able to support the games’ enhanced visuals. 2K Games have thankfully published a short FAQ about the upgrades the developers at Blind Squirrel Games have made, as well as a list of all the minimum and recommended specifications that are needed to run BioShock: The Collection.

With BioShock: The Collection containing three games in total, fans will have to take hard drive space as well as PC performance into consideration. Players on the platform can get a glimpse at the detailed hardware and software specs for BioShock: The Collection and will then need to start cleaning at least 70 gigabytes of space in order to install this trilogy pack.

2K also provided instructions for player who bought the games for windows live versions of BioShock and BioShock 2. If fans own the first two games on Steam, they will just receive the remastered versions right after their release. But, in order to upgrade the games for windows live copies to BioShock: The Collection’s standards, fans will have to ‘travel’ the extra mile.

Fans who aren’t completely sold on buying BioShock: The Collection because of the changes made to the originals can make a more educated decision by watching a graphics comparison trailer in order to get a better idea of how the games look to their standard versions. Everyone is hoping that, if BioShock: The Collection’s sales reach a favorable amount, 2K Games will make a decision to move forward with the development of another entry in the franchise, as a lot of people already share the opinion that it’s time for a new game in the series.
