Update 1.3 Nerfs One of the Most Important Skills In The Division

Huge part of The Division’s player-base came forth with reports that the recent 1.3 update has caused one of the game’s most essential skills not to work properly.

Lots of changes were introduced in The Division’s 1.3 patch, including weapon tweaks and a new Incursion. Even so, this patch may have also broken the Pulse skill, which is a necessary tool for playing The Division.

Immediately following the update, reports of Pulse not properly displaying all enemies within range started to pile up. Gamers performed tests in multiple areas against NPCs, and although a specific number of enemies were visible and within range, Pulse wouldn’t focus all of them. Following the countless reports on Reddit, the problem has now been acknowledged by Ubisoft Massive and noted that they’re looking into it on their official forums.

While a single broken skill may not seem like a big deal to anyone who doesn’t use it or doesn’t play the game, in The Division, Pulse is a critical component. Additionally to highlighting nearby enemies, players can unlock certain areas of their Base of Operations in order to further unlock additional abilities for the Pulse skill.

For instance, if the player unlocks their Base of Operation’s medical wing quarantine upgrade, they gain access to the Pulse: Tactical Scanner, which is considered as the most important skill a solo player can use in The Division.

The Division’s 1.3 patch implemented a lot of new options for players to enjoy, like the first paid DLC called Underground. While players have accepted the new content positively, this Pulse bug isn’t going to interfere with the new content.

The good news is that the general outcry about the Pulse nerf has been brought to Massive’s attention. Furthermore, there’s no way for players to use the glitch to give themselves an unfair advantage in Dark Zone’s PvP fights.

The Division is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
