That latest Skyrim mod made by the awesome Skyrim modding community is a mash up of the title’s boss fights with a couple of classic Stan Bush songs from the 1986 Transformers movie.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim had a hardcore modding community for many years. Past mod releases include everything from new adventures with voice-acting to mods that pushed Skyrim’s graphics beyond anything anyone has even seen. Of course, PC modders are also known for coming up with strange mash-ups every now and again, something like when someone decided to put Iron Man’s Hulkbuster in Grand Theft Auto V. The mod in question is The Stan Bush Combat Replacer allows gamers to play a few classic songs from the Transformers movie within Skyrim. Specifically, the songs ‘The Touch’ or ‘Dare’ will start playing anytime the character enters a major boss battle.
Of these two songs, ‘The Touch is definitely more well known and remembered by longtime Transformers fans. As far as the anthems of the 80s go, it’s not scruffy on its own, but when used in a battle with a dragon, it becomes pretty clear why someone thought this Skyrim mod was a good idea. It’s nearly impossible to lose a battle when someone’s singing ‘You’ve got the touch, you’ve got the power.’ The Stan Bush Combat Replacer went live earlier this week and its Steam page is full of comments from grateful Skyrim fans that are able to go back to their childhood. One user even said that Stan Bush was the original Dovahkiin.
Players who download the mod on PC will be able to transfer it over to Skyrim: Special Edition when Bethesda releases is in October. They already confirmed that Special Edition will support every existing Skyrim mod so far. This next-gen experience will come for free for anyone who owns The Legendary Edition of Skyrim, which is basically the base game with all its expansion packs. Special Edition is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well, but players won’t be able to transfer their save files.
Skyrim: Special Edition will be available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on OCtober 28.
