Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Skull Rain Release Date Known

Details about the upcoming Brazil-based expansion pack for Rainbow Six Siege, Operation Skull Rain have been revealed by Ubisoft. These details are about two new operators and a new map added in the game.

With August almost being here, it is due time for Ubisoft to reveal the next round of content for Rainbow Six Siege. The studio is striking down the ban hammer on cheaters with their left hand, while the right has been working on the expected Brazilian content pack. Rainbow Six Siege enjoyed the addition of both Canadian and US operators, which made the Operation Skull Rain the first official expansion hailing from another continent.

Caveira is the defensive operator. She possesses a unique silent step ability that allows her to easily sneak up on attackers that are unaware. Caveira can also immobilize and interrogate her targets (hoping that she can do it quickly), by forcing the attacker to give out the locations of their squadmates. Having a squad revealed can be a pretty heavy blow in the game that relies on stealth-based tactics. There is also Caveira’s special ability which can be a major game changer in tense matches, as long as she lives long enough to use it. Caveira will use SPAS-15 and M12 as primary weapons, which makes her ideal at close range. Aside of her PRB92 secondary firearm, she will be able to use a nitro cell and a barbed wire in defensive operations.

More details about Operation Skull Rain will be revealed during the Season Two Xbox Pro League Finals on 30 July, as said by Ubisoft. After this expansion gets released, players can look forward to the arrival of Japanese operators this holiday season as long as it’s not a subject to delays like the previous two expansions.

Rainbow Six Siege is now available for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. The Operation Skull Rain expansion will become available on 2 August.
