Nintendo Announces NES Classic Edition Console

Nintendo revealed their plans on releasing a revamped version of its classic NES console later this year, featuring 30 pre-downloaded classic games from the original system.

Despite of whether or not gamers have a preference for Nintendo, the company wasn’t possible to avoid in recent weeks – thanks mainly to its blockbuster Pokemon GO game.

Although some have reacquainted themselves with the nostalgia influenced Pocket monster property, Nintendo has taken the freedom of dusting off different walk down memory lane through the all new NES Classic Edition. Scheduled to arrive on November 11, 2016 for a proposed retail price of $59.99 USD, the miniature depiction of the iconic Nintendo Entertainment System will use a HDMI cable to plug into more modern television sets that came to the market place since the consoles original debut in 1985.

Players will not be left to search around looking to secure retro cartridges either, as the NES Classic Edition Console arrives with 30 pre-installed games on it.

The games on the list may vary from first and third-party classics, all of which can be seen below:

    – Balloon Fight™
    – BUBBLE BOBBLE
    – Castlevania™
    – Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest™
    – Donkey Kong™
    – Donkey Kong Jr. ™
    – DOUBLE DRAGON II: THE REVENGE

This collection will also include an NES controlled that can be plugged directly into the unit, and will accomplish the nostalgic vibe that the company wishes to achieve. Those in hope for some tried and true couch co-op, however, will have the ability to invest for a second controller that costs $9.99 USD. Although, those who already own a Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro can apparently use those instead of the NES controller if they want.
