New Pokemon Revealed for Pokemon Sun and Moon

Nintendo unveils yet another new Pocket Monster for the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon, and it’s a deadly Fire/Poison type named Salandit.

As the most awaited games released by Nintendo this year, the thirst amongst consumers for more details on Pokemon Sun and Moon is understandable. Piece by piece, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company keep fans satisfied with little information drops, and they’ve been basically doing this by uncovering handful of never before seen monsters.

Although the decision is still out on whether beasts such as these will become go-to partners for aspiring trainers, a whole new Pokemon has now joined the ranks in the form of Salandit. This Fire/Poison type is a quite ferocious fighter that has the ability to seriously mess up a team of the most well-gathered Pocket Monsters.

This is firstly because Salandit has been capably labelled the Toxic Lizard Pokemon, which makes a lot more sense when learning a bit more about the background of the Pokemon – specifically that it can poison both Steel and Poison types. As stated on the official Pokemon website, this power comes from it’s newfound ability called “Corrosion”, which makes its first appearance in the franchise with Salandit.

Even though the creature looks like a cool strategic option for trainers, it prevents its diverse abilities (including the supposed ability of female Salandits to attract all male Pokemon) by being a bit on the soft side. With that said, this seems like it’s got all the making to be a hard support monster for veteran players – although everything will come down to it’s final stats.

This is based entirely on the beast’s description on the official Pokemon website, however, so it remains to be seen how impressive the Pokemon ends up being when the finished game finally arrives.
