GTA Online Receives “Cunning Stunts” DLC Later This Week

Rockstar announced the Cunning Stunts DLC, which will introduce massive, death defying, stunt racing to the game, as well as new cars and customization options.

Rockstar Games has gotten very creative with the various game modes that they’ve implemented in Grand Theft Auto Online. The company has recently included the Power Play game mode, which changes the game’s traditional PvP style by adding strong and weird powerups to the gameplay.

Rockstar looks like it’s sticking with this formula of insane gameplay with the announcement of the Cunning Stunts DLC for Grand Theft Auto Online. This DLC will focus on excessive stunt racing on insane tracks around Los Santos. The DLC was revealed yesterday on Rockstar’s website with a trailer, description of the new game mode and screenshots of the tracks.

From what’s shown in the trailer and screenshots, it seems that Rockstar fully embraces the weirdness that is constantly present in the Grand Theft Auto universe. One game developer also announced a number of cosmetic additions that will arrive with the update.

This is a huge plus to the game’s racing component, with some tracks and stunts being designed for specific vehicle classes. And as can be seen in the trailer, the tracks are filled with boosts, obstacles, and spiraling loops to keep races at a constant white knuckle intensity.

But every new update brings the inevitable question of the in-game prices for all new items. Although GTA Online’s DLC is free, the price of in-game items is found by many to be unreasonably expensive and realistically available through microtransactions. One player has already came forth with a report that he spent $1 million in-game currency to buy a gun locker, so everyone expects the purchasable items in the Cunning Stunts to come with a large price tag.

Grand Theft Auto Online can be accessed through Grand Theft Auto 5, which is out now for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
