Bandai Namco announced a release date for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and a new trailer that shows combat game-play and story-line.
Bandai Namco have shown us that it is indeed a good time to be a Dragon Ball fan, as they announce that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will come to PS4, PC and Xbox One this autumn.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will release on October 25 for the consoles and October 28 for Pc. Alongside this announcement comes a new trailer which shows some of Dragon Ball Z’s villains coming face to face with the player in the Time Patrol’s effort to get time back on track. The trailer also reveals a Super Saiyan 3 form for the character played by the player, something that wasn’t available in the previous title, Xenoverse.
Bandai Namco announce that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will have some of the works of Grammy nominated DJ Steve Aoki. Aoki will make an appearance in the game as an interactive character in the game’s hub, apart from remixing a few classic Dragon Ball Z songs such as We Gotta Power and Cha-La Head-Cha-La.
Xenoverse 2 will contain a new free to explore city hub named Conton, alongside many character customization options for the player’s custom character. Details about the story remain yet to be released but the previous Fly Through Time trailer suggests that the player will take their unique fighter back through the history of the series, encountering Bardock, Goku’s father as well as meeting Future Gohan from the dark future when Trunks first traveled back from in the Android Saga.
This game will feature a number of new characters, some of which will be making their first appearance after being introduced in the Dragon Ball Super series. Dragon Ball fans are sure going to be happy, now that a new series AND a new Xenoverse get released.
