As stated by several eurogamer sources, Warner Bros. targets November as a release window for Batman: Return to Arkham, the remastered Batman collection from Rocksteady.
Few weeks after the announcement that Batman: Return to Arkham is indefinitely delayed, new sources claim that the game is now scheduled to release in November, at the earliest. That’s four extra months from it’s original launch date, which was July 29.
The reason behind this delay is because the publisher Warner Bros. wanted to guarantee a smooth experience and needed more time to get that done, which is understandable. The company’s sudden need to publicly declare its devotion to quality might’ve been the result of the Internet’s reaction to a graphics comparison video that was revealed not long ago and wasn’t entirely well received.
In most cases, users voiced their opinions that last generation graphics were better than the fancy remastered ones. It appears that they’ve went back to the drawing board for a bit after all that feedback. Eurogamer thinks more or less the same, saying they were informed the delay focuses on the quality of the port from Chinese developer Virtuous Games, pointing out frame-rate as one of the major issues.
Taking into consideration the horrible experience gamers had while playing the PC version of Arkham Knight, it’s no surprise warner Bros. is being cautious. Eurogamer asked the publisher to confirm this story, but the answers is the same, there’s no release date.
Developer Rocksteady’s Batman: Return to Arkham is a collection of first two Batman games in the Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Both titles were available for last generation consoles but are being refurbished for the current generation, as it’s the trend for older games these days.
Batman: Return to Arkham will release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. No official release date available yet.
